Katachi Safety Technology
Katachi NGA LLC · North Georgia · Founded 2026

Safety systems designed for when phones and networks fail.

Katachi is a safety technology and precision product design company in North Georgia. We design emergency alert and response systems for school campuses, open water and remote sites, alongside precision objects for the desk, design work for others, and private AI for small organizations. One design language runs through all of it.

How we work
Principle 01

Mechanisms are not published

On this site we say what each thing is for and where it stands, never how it is built. Technical detail is not published.

Principle 02

Verified, not asserted

Every claim is a hypothesis until it has been checked against a primary source. A figure that has not been measured is labeled a target, on this site and in anything we hand to someone else.

Principle 03

One design language

A school safety system and a desk object are held to the same standard. Structure is judged by engineering. Touch is judged by the hand. Accent is judged by the eye.

Working together

We take on two kinds of work today.

Design and documentation, from concept through to a package a supplier can quote from: sketch, model, print, tolerance and manufacturability review, bill of materials, and a request-for-quote set written so a supplier can price it rather than interpret it.

And private AI for small organizations, on hardware they own.

We run the design pipeline on our own products.

About Katachi

Katachi is a Japanese word for form.

Not shape in the decorative sense. The form a thing takes when it has been made properly for what it actually has to do.

Katachi NGA LLC is a safety technology and precision product design company founded in Georgia in 2026 by Brian S. Smith. The work spans safety systems, where the failure mode is somebody not getting help, and precision objects, where the failure mode is an object that does less than it should. Design work for others and private AI for small organizations come from the same practice, held to the same standard.
